Manitowoc City Parks
The City of Manitowc has 37 parks, offering more than 670 acres of
green play space - ball fields, basketball and tennis courts, horseshoe
pits, trails, playgrounds, fishing, swimming, beaches, concerts, picnic
areas - and a zoo! All public park facilities are open year 'round from
6 a.m.-11 p.m. Reservations for the shelter and cabins can be made
through the City of Manitowoc Park & Recreation Department at
920-686-3580. All others are first-come, first-serve. Listed here are
some of the larger parks and what they have to offer. Refer to the map
on pages 50-53 of our 2011 Discovery Guide for exact locations

Two Rivers City Parks. Two Rivers has 20 parks and playgrounds offering more than 229 acres
of green play space - ball fields, basketball and tennis courts, horseshoe
pits, trails, playgrounds, fishing, swimming, beaches, concerts, picnic
areas - and a skate park! Neshotah Park features a half-mile of groomed
beach, changing rooms, concession stand and bike rentals. Dog-friendly
beaches can be found along Memorial Drive and at Point Beach State
Forest. Contact the Two Rivers Parks & Recreation Department at

Community Built Playground - Henry Schuette Park
Located at Henry Schuette Park, 3700 Broadway St.,
Manitowoc's West side
Covering the size of a football field, children of all ages can enjoy
playground structures such as a wave slide, twisty slide, castle,
parallel bars, zigzag ladder, rubber bridge, sand box area, tot swings,
playhouse, tunnel, bridge and therapeutic swing. This playground
boasts a unique maritime theme that will educate children with the
rich maritime history that Manitowoc has to offer. Other features

Mariners Trail and Rawley Point Recreation Trail
This 6-mile paved, lakeshore recreational trail is the longest, continuous,
scenic view of Lake Michigan in the state of Wisconsin! Hike, bike, walk,
or rollerblade down this scenic shoreline between Manitowoc and Two Rivers.
From the south you can pick up the trail in historic downtown Manitowoc at
the 8th Street Bridge. You'll pass scenic overlooks, craggy coves and wide
beaches, gift shops, restaurants and motels. With over 30 flower gardens, four new sculptures, and beautiful views, this will become one of your favorite trails!
Follow the signs through downtown Two Rivers for about a mile to reach the Rawley Point Recreation Trail connecting Point Beach State Forest, the historic Rawley Point Lighthouse, and Two Rivers. The Rawley Point Recreational Trail has a hard-packed limestone base and connects Two Rivers with Point Beach State Forest. The six-mile trail winds through pine and hemlock forests, dunes and fields.
