1. Where is the lakefront?
Directly east, of course; offering you the longest, continuous, spectacular view
of Lake Michigan from Wisconsin, and the “Scenic Route” to Door County. Bike/walk/rollerblade our new, paved 6-mile Mariners Trail that hugs the shoreline of Lake Michigan to Two Rivers. Explore the Breakwater Light near the marina, enjoy the free West of the Lake Gardens and picnic along the way. From I-43, take Exit 149, then east to our Visitor Information Center. From there, take Calumet Ave. (Hwy 151) to 8th St. downtown. As you cross the bridge stay right, turning on to Maritime Dr., passing the Maritime Museum and USS COBIA WWII Submarine.

2. Can I board the submarine?
Come aboard the USS COBIA WWII Submarine, moored in the Manitowoc River adjacent to the Wisconsin Maritime Museum (75 Maritime Dr.) During World War II, the Manitowoc Co. built 28 Gato-class submarines, including the USS Rasher that sunk the second highest enemy tonnage of any U.S. submarine during the war in the Pacific Theater. 3. How do I get to the carferry?
The SS Badger Carferry is the largest cross-lake passenger-oriented service on the Great Lakes, capable of transporting 620 passengers, 180 automobiles, tour buses, RVs and commercial vehicles. The only steam-powered carferry on Lake Michigan, the Badger sails Lake Michigan twice daily to and from Ludington, Mi. in about 4 hrs each way, covering 60 miles. To board the Badger, drive Calumet Ave. from the Visitor Center; follow the Carferry signs to 10th St., turn right to Madison St. Turn left on Madison to the carferry dock, 800-841-4243

4. Where is Natural Ovens?
Natural Ovens Bakery is just a mile south of our Visitor Information Center at 4300 County Rd. CR. (turn right when departing the Center). Natural Ovens produces nutritious, whole-grain, high-fiber and low-carb bread products available nationwide.
