Women in Management Plans Biennial Event
Sheboygan — Women in Management, Inc. with chapters throughout northeast Wisconsin, is planning a spring networking event for businesswomen from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, April
21, at Holiday Inn, Fond du Lac. Discover, Grow, Achieve, an event for Women, is designed to provide professional development opportunities through breakout sessions
and a dynamic keynote address by certified Leadership and Life Coach Darcy Luoma.
The breakout sessions begin at 2:30 and the topics include:
▪ Be Appy! Apps for your Business Life
▪ The Power of Interpersonal Communication
▪ Resources for Your Business
▪ Untangle Resistance to Change
▪ Generational Collisions at Work
▪ Develop Your Inner Warrior Princess
Following the breakout sessions will be some networking activities, followed at 6:00 by a fabulous dinner and the keynote presentation, “Thoughtfully Fit.” Being Thoughtfully FitTM means intentionally choosing to lead our own life, inside and out, in order to achieve greater impact with others and deeper inner peace with ourselves. Darcy will share insights from her decades of coaching and consulting experience to offer new awareness as to how you can approach your day, and your life, in a Thoughtfully FitTM way.
Hosted by the Women in Management Inc., Discover, Grow, Achieve, an event for Women, will include members from chapters in Oshkosh, Fond du Lac, Ripon/Green Lake, Manitowoc, Sheboygan and the Fox Cities. Any business women interested in attending as guests — or those considering joining a chapter, are encouraged to attend.
An Early Bird discount is offered through Feb. 28, with members tickets at $45.00, non-members at $70.00. On March 1, the ticket price will be $50.00 for WIMI members, $75.00 for non-members. Final reservations to the event are due April 7. The Holiday Inn has extended a discounted room rate for attendees of this event, so plan to stay the night.
“This extraordinary event for women was formed to bring the six WIMI chapters together for a wider networking opportunity, to have fun and unwind at a lovely setting, and to create awareness of our organization for others who may want to join,” said Lisa Hartman, WIMI executive board president and a member of the Sheboygan Chapter. “Our event is on a Friday night, so some might want to make it a great women’s getaway.”
