Judy Corrado -- over
100 hours since March 2009
Judy has been volunteering at
the Visitor Center office for a little over a year.
"I
love the variety of jobs - it never gets boring! But
mostly I enjoy the contact with people and
sharing our wonderful comunity with the visitors.
Outside of
volunteering with the VIC, I donate my time
to other places such as the Friends of Mariners
Trail, Wonder of Christmas Nativity Exhibit, PEO
Sisterhood-Chapter CD, Rahr West Art Musuem and Trinity
Alliance Church.
When I'm
not volunteering , you will find me biking on the
Mariners Trail or helping with one of the flower beds on
the trail. I love reading and playing word games and
puzzles with my husband. Now that I'm retired
I travel more - Life is good!"
Thank
you Judy, for your friendly
personality and enthusiam for our community!
And congratulations, Judy, for receiving the
Two Rivers Parks and Recreation Department's
Outstanding Citizen Commitment
Award! |

The
MAVCB recently participated in the Circle Wisconsin
"Wisconsin Meet Wisconsin" marketplace
in Middleton, WI. Staff met with 40 tour
planners representing 30 tour planner
companies, senior centers, banks, group leaders, and
professional tour operators - in 5-minute appointment
sessions. The tour planners were all from Wisconsin
with high interest in mystery
tours, theatre, animals, history and
heritage....and new destinations!
Kathleen Galas and Karen
Yelmene attended the 2010 Governor's Conference on
Tourism March 14-16, 2010, at Midwest Center in
Milwaukee. Although 2009 was a challenge for
everyone, the tourism industry is looking toward the
coming months with optimism for a hopeful modest
recovery. |
