Al
Seidl-- over 350 hours since June
2008
Al works in the office
and greets the carferry with his
wife Judy.
He enjoys volunteering at the
VIC, meeting the people who come in for
information and working with the staff.
He also
donates his time at Aurora Medical Center in
Two
Rivers.
When Al
isn't volunteering, he enjoys woodworking, doing outdoor
work, and taking care of his 5 grandchildren, including
the newest of 6 weeks.
We
appreciate Al's
friendliness, helpfulness, and knowledge about
our community! Thank you

Calling all Shutter
Bugs.....Please help the MAVCB attract visitors
to our lakeshore area by submitting colorful,
interesting, and attractive digital photos to the MAVCB's Second Annual Photo Contest.
We are particularly looking for recreational
shots such as golf, disc golf, jet skiing, fishing of
all kinds and wildlife too. Also great photos of the USS
Cobia, the carferry, and people having fun at our
special events such as Sputnikfest and Ethnic
Fest.
Deadline for entry is December 30,

The home of Sputnikfest,
an annual celebration commemorating the
chunk of Sputnik IV which landed in front of the
mansion in 1962.
The 1891 Victorian Mansion features attached art
galleries with changing exhibitions and American Art.
They offer workshops and classes for all
ages. Hours: Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri: 10am - 4pm;
Wed: 10am - 8pm; Sat & Sun: 11 am-4 pm

The largest maritime museum on the
Great Lakes and home of the U.S.S.
Cobia, a fully restored WWII submarine that's
celebrating it's 40th anniversary this year. In the
musem you can time-travel back to a 19th
century shipbuilding town, try sport fishing, and
sail a boat in the Children's Waterways
room. Open daily: Memorial Day - Labor Day 9am - 6pm;
Winter 9am - 4pm
